On the grapevine: NYU’s Department of Psychology needs your help...

...if you’re a couple that is:
NYU Couples Diary Study

There’s (slightly) more information over at this page. Who knows? You might learn something. And even if you don’t -- it’s a great way to tell someone new about how those socks don’t pick themselves up, you know.

Best New Yorker headline ever.

What We're Reading: Calvin and Hobbes, James Meek, Italo Calvino on voting - The New Yorker
Nuff said.

It's all about perspective.

I asked Andrew a few days ago, if he is worried about the election. Among other things (all of which were quintessentially Andrewesque in their overriding sense of peace with the world and all its creatures), this particular comment has been keeping me up at night:
"Well, at least Romney’s better than Bush."

What can I say? This is my boyfriend. It is who he is. When it is raining, he is liable to say "Well, at least it’s not cold." When it’s cold, he’s been known to say "Well, at least the sun is out." You know that New Yorker cartoon where the man and the woman are in hell? This one?

Somehow, I feel like it applies.

Rispettare l'ordine delle righe!

I love that I live in a country whose post office has a twelve-page manual on how to write an address correctly on an envelope...

Or wait. Do I?
